  • Happy Sunday, friends. Today we started packing our belongings for our big move back to America. There are so many things I'm worried about, but I'm trusting that this is the right decision for our family right now and excited about all the opportunities that lie ahead of us! Im sad to go as I've experienced so much and grown so much as a person here, but it's time for a change of scenery for my little family! We're thinking about doing a little US tour before we actually start a real life... What shouldn't we miss??
  • If you find a slide in the middle of hill you have to slide down it, right? One thing I will miss about the UK is its incredible parks! Not only are there parks EVERYWHERE, but they are also so well designed with something for everyone. Colorful, exciting and more than enough to get kids of all ages excited about being outside! I wish I could say the same about the situation in America, where I've struggled to find age appropriate activities (or clean facilities) in most of the parks we've visited. Anyway, going to enjoy these fun parks while we're here! Anyone have a similar experience or do I sound crazy??
  • I just wanted to give the most massive thank you to the outpouring of support last night and this morning. My husband and I sat down and read EVERY SINGLE RESPONSE and it was just a reminder of what a fabulous community this is. No one ever said being a parent is easy and every stage comes with its beautiful changes and frustrations! The important thing to remember is that we are all in this together and we should draw from each others experiences and strengths. I am so freakin' inspired by you guys and your stories and your insights. I wish we could all get together in real life with lots of wine and pizza and have a slumber party and talk about how much we love our kids even when they are absolute NIGHTMARES. You all rock. Thanks.
  • Hudson has been giving us a run for our money the past two weeks. I know they call it the terrible two's, but some days I feel like he is far beyond a terrible two. I'm talking head smashing, kicking, screaming, inconsolable tantrums. I've also struggled because I feel like no one ever talks about these tough times and currently I'm feeling like I'm the only one with a "sometimes brat" on my hands. I'm working on a post on the blog about Hudson's tantrums and how we have been coping (sometimes this means locking myself in my room and crying). Any tips? Anyone want to stand up and tell me that I'm not the only one who's been here??
  • Happy #followfriday and welcome to the weekend! I have had a not so fabulous day with a very cranky baby, but I'm thrilled to share these four accounts whose feeds always make my days a little brighter! Raise your hand if you are so thankful for the Instagram community and the friendship doors it has opened, especially for us mamas! πŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ
  • Had a date with @mamaandhanna and we went on a gorgeous walk to the duck pond. Unfortunately, neither babe made it to the duck pond without falling fast asleep! In any case, was a nice walk and Hudson got a much needed nap. His nap strike game is strong, but he's got nothing against long walks to the duck pond! Mwahahahahahah! P. S. It's almost the weekend 😍
  • We survived the flu! I think they should hand out stickers to families that say that because let's be honest, it's a big deal! Life is finally going back to normal (and smelling normal). In other news 154 days until summer. Yes, I am counting down.
  • Apologies for the radio silence over the last few days! We've had a house full of sick boys this weekend and I have been giving them my time and cuddles because that's what this wife/mom life is all about. That being said, I cannot get the smell of throw up out of my nose and tomorrow I will be deep cleaning the house like a mad woman! Hope you are all happy and healthy. P. S. Watch this space guys because I have lots of exciting news and "stuff" coming you way this month. 😍 Get excited.
  • Ever get that feeling that someone's watching you? Oh right, we're moms, someone's ALWAYS watching. Also can we talk about the state of his hair! Adam and I said we wouldn't cut it but it's getting so out of control πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I literally laugh every time I look at him. Poor boy. Hope you're all having a fabulous day and that there is more sun wherever you are!
